As a computer science student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill he built an email marketing app, and after begrudgingly allowing someone to pay him to use the app, he soon realized he was running an email marketing company.

Thousands more customers followed as he grew the company to $50 million in revenue, later selling it to a public company for $169 million. That poor Zuckerberg still has a day job.
