If you could develop a robotic exoskeleton to help you take care of others—whether as a parent, healthcare provider, pet caregiver, or any other kind of care work—what would you design it to look like? In this workshop, participants will learn speculative design skills while prototyping possible exoskeletons that could help them take care of others. In addition to developing quick robotic prototypes, participants will be challenged to rethink the narratives around robotics, and will have the opportunity to play with technologies such as pneumatic arms and biosensors. Workshop led by designer and researcher Laura Devendorf from CU’s Unstable Design Lab. All experience levels welcome!
