We are more connected than ever. It’s a matter of a click or a tap and we can be in connected to anyone with an internet enabled device from anywhere in the world. With this enabled reach, we have also become increasingly comsumed by social media multitasking; Juggling 5 group texts, SnapChat threads, Click to Click through dozens of Instagram stories and checking our Facebook newsfeed every hour or maybe every half hour – it's time to have an honest conversation about how distracted are we by the latest fix of digital connections and we must consider, are these online interactions improving or declining the quality of our relationships.

Is your online life healthy?

Join the discussion: How do digital social platforms create or foster better relationships? How does our participation in social channels cause further void, noise, and perpetuate superficial relationships? In this panel discussion, we'll discuss growing trends across various industries and the issues faced by platforms - such as fake news on Facebook coupled with questionable privacy policies; and Twitter's harassment problem and pervasive bots.

We will approach this topic with an encompassing and interdisciplinary approach, including viewpoints from experts on subjects like:
- What's the impact of smartphones on children and their social behaviors?
- How is social media impacting the public political discourse and what are opportunities and threats for democracy?
- How to combat cyber bullying, and boost online safety?
- What new social media experiences could reinforce positive human behavior in our online interactions?
