Innovation and the Ivory Tower: Why Startup Ecosystems Thrive with Help from Higher Ed
Limited Capacity filling up

A key driver of the nation's leading startup communities is that they have major universities in their backyards. Startup ecosystems thrive when they tap into amazing minds and talent within higher education. This fact is backed by research on innovation density, where Boulder, Denver, and Fort Collins rank high compared to other cities. Universities across the front range have recently formed the Colorado University Innovation Council to better connect their efforts around how they are responding to and creating new opportunities for innovation. Leaders from six regional universities will speak about how they're collaborating and working with the startup community to provide even more support.
